FNT will not collect any personal data when you register. After the webinar, BrightTALK will send us aggregated statistical data. FNT GmbH is the controller of all information that is forwarded to and stored by us.
1.11. FNT customer magazine (Next Big Thing)
You can also subscribe to receive our customer magazine, Next Big Thing, by mail. To complete your subscription, you will have to provide the following personal data: title (*), first name (*), last name (*), company (*), street address, postal code/city, country, department, job title, telephone number (*), email address (*), and your comments.
You can also subscribe to our email newsletter, which features information on new products and events. If you do this, we will collect the following personal data: title, first name, last name, company, street address, postal code/city, country, job title, department, telephone number, email address (*). (*) indicates a mandatory field.
We require your email address, title, first name, and last name so that we can send you our newsletter via email and address you correctly. After you initially sign up for our newsletter, you will receive an email from us asking you to confirm your subscription (double opt-in process). Your subscription will only become active when you click on the confirmation link in that email. If you do not click the link, your data will be automatically deleted after 30 days. If you confirm your subscription, we will store your email address, IP address, and the date and time of confirmation as well as details of the communication received.
Newsletter tracking: Subject to your prior consent, we will use a special image object known as a web beacon or tracking pixel to track your use of the newsletter. When you receive the newsletter, a range of data will be forwarded to the external server, e.g., date of retrieval, IP address, and details of your email client. The name of the image file is personalized for each email recipient by adding a unique ID. The email sender knows which email address belongs to which ID and can therefore use the image to determine which newsletter recipient has just opened the email.
If you wish to participate in our competitions, we will also require some personal data. This information is collected electronically and sent by email to the relevant FNT staff.
2. Purpose of data collection
We require your personal data to enable you to communicate with FNT and/or to provide you with the information and services you have requested.
2.1. When you contact us, we use your personal data to provide you with the information and services you have requested, to respond to your inquiry, to confirm your participation in an event, and/or to process your order. We require your email address so that we can communicate with you, plus we need your title, first name, and last name so that we can personalize the communication.
2.2. If you would like to receive tickets for special events (e.g., CeBIT), we will use your personal information to send the tickets to you and to arrange an appointment with us at the event. In this case, we require your email address so that we can send you the ticket codes, plus we need your title, first name, and last name so that we can personalize the communication.
2.3. If you register for one of our training courses or fee-based events, we will use your personal data to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. In this case, we require your email address so that we can send you the confirmation, plus we need your title, first name, and last name so that we can personalize the communication.
2.4. Webinars are interactive web-based seminars, in which we cover a range of complex topics for interested parties. All our webinars are hosted by an external provider, BrightTALK. BrightTALK is a free-to-use online portal that hosts webinars and webcasts. After each webinar, BrightTALK sends us a range of aggregated statistical data. If you ask a question during a webinar, BrightTALK will provide us with your personal information (e.g., first name, last name, and email address) so that we can respond further to your inquiry after the webinar. FNT GmbH is the controller of all the information we receive and store in this context.
2.5. If you subscribe to our customer magazine, Next Big Thing, we will require your personal data in order to manage your subscription and send you the magazine by mail.
2.6. If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will need your email address as well as your title, first name, and last name.
2.7. If you would like to take part in one of our competitions, we will require your name, address, and email/phone details so that we can contact you if you win and send you your prize. We may also require your email address for notification purposes, in which case we will also need your title, first name, and last name so that we can personalize the communication.
2.8. We use log files and cookies to ensure our website is as efficient and interesting as possible for users, to identify and rectify faults on the website, and to monitor traffic. As part of our continuous effort to improve our services for customers, the above data is anonymized and statistically evaluated.
3. Storage period
We need to store your personal information so that we can fulfill your particular request, e.g., answer your inquiry, process your orders, or provide you with specific information or offers.
If you request information on products/services, white papers, infographics, or studies, we will store your personal data for no longer than 12 months, unless otherwise agreed or contractually obligated.
Subject to your consent, we will also use your data to inform you about products and services from FNT GmbH or to conduct online surveys.
4. Non-disclosure of your personal data to third parties
We do not disclose your personal information to any third party unless this is necessary in order to fulfill your request or to execute a contract, or you have given your consent. For example, if you are inquiring about an offer or ordering a product, it may be necessary to forward your address and order details to a third-party service provider. Your data may also be disclosed to a third party if we are entitled or obliged to do so by law and/or governmental or court order. For example, data may have to be disclosed to assist with law enforcement, hazard prevention, or for the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

8. Data security
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transmit information over the Internet with absolute security. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you transmit to us via our website. Please note, however, that we use a range of technical and organizational measures to secure our website and other systems against the loss, destruction, viewing, editing, and/or sharing of your data by unauthorized persons. These measures include firewalls, antivirus software, and manual security checks. We use SSL encryption to secure your personal information while it is being transmitted over the Internet. SSL encryption is active if there is a key icon at the bottom of your browser window and/or the web address begins with “https://www.” SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) establishes an encrypted link between our web server and your browser that protects your data against illegal third-party access. If SSL encryption is not available, you can also choose to withhold sensitive information.
9. Privacy and third-party websites
Our website also includes links to third-party content that we consider to be of interest to our visitors, e.g., YouTube videos, Google maps, RSS feeds, or images from other websites. As on every website, when you access third-party content such as this, your IP address will be transmitted to the respective provider so that the content can be transmitted to your device. We make every effort to ensure that we only link to providers who use your IP address solely for the purpose of transmitting content. You can sign up for our email newsletter to receive regular updates on new FNT products and our upcoming events.
You can also consent to receive separate email updates on information you have requested as well as related events, white papers, checklists, studies, webinars, trends, etc., in the field of infrastructure and service management for the IT and telecommunications sectors.
You can, of course, unsubscribe from our newsletter and the additional information at any time.
You will receive the newsletter and any information requested via our online forms only after you have confirmed your newsletter subscription or the email address where you wish to receive the requested information. To do this, you will receive an email from us asking you to confirm your subscription or email address (double opt-in process). If you do not click the link, your personal information will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Your personal information will only be used for the purpose of sending you the email newsletter and will not be shared with any third party.
When you subscribe to our email newsletter or request information via an online form, we will store your email address, your IP address, and the date and time of the transaction. This information is stored as potential evidence that your email address has not been used by a third party to subscribe to our email newsletter without your authorization.
The following service provider is tasked with distributing our email newsletter as well as handling and responding to contact requests, event registrations, information downloads, online demo requests, and callback requests via our online forms: ActiveCampaign, 222 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 810, Chicago, IL 60606, USA. Your subscription details will be transmitted to ActiveCampaign’s servers, which are hosted in the United States.
ActiveCampaign adheres to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework Principles issued by the US Department of Commerce (https://www.privacyshield.gov/welcome). This mechanism protects personal data that is transferred from a member state of the European Union to the United States. It consists of a series of assurances by the US Federal Government and a decision of the European Commission. Adopted on July 12, 2016, the European Commission decision confirms that the data protection provided by the Privacy Shield Framework is equivalent to that mandated in the EU.
ActiveCampaign uses site tracking to capture and analyze your email opens and link clicks. In addition, this tool collects your email address, IP address, browser version, and country details. This information is stored and used to tailor emails to your needs and interests, and to avoid sending them on inappropriate days.
Emails are tracked using a special image object known as a web beacon or tracking pixel, which is embedded within the message. The email only contains the web address for the image. The image itself is not included in the email and must be downloaded by the recipient’s email client (or browser) from an external server.
When the image is downloaded, the external server can capture certain information from the recipient, e.g., download date and time, IP address, and the email client used. The name of the image file is personalized for each email recipient by adding a unique ID. The captured data can be used for statistical purposes, e.g., to discover the dates and times when emails are read and which links are followed. In this case, all data is anonymized prior to analysis.
If you do not want these emails to be tracked, you can block cookies as described above and/or disable the loading of remote images in your email client.
11. eRecruiting by FNT GmbH
FNT appreciates your interest in working with us and your visit to this website. This eRecruiting webpage and the eRecruiting system itself are in responsibility of the FNT GmbH that is posting the respective position.
By accepting our Declaration of Consent to Data Processing regarding eRecruiting by FNT you agree that the data you submit may be stored and processed by all legal entities of FNT worldwide for recruitment, staffing and employment purposes. The intended purposes (Application, Unsolicited Application Usage and Hiring) are explained below.
For internal associates the data security guidelines of FNT are considered as well.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Purpose Specification FNT will use your personal data entered or uploaded by you on the website for the sole purpose of staffing processes only. FNT will treat your data as confidential worldwide in accordance with the applicable data privacy laws. The recruiting process within the FNT takes place in collaboration between Human Resources, Managers of user departments and other members of the hiring team such as associates of the department you applied for. These Managers, department associates as well as the FNT HR associates may belong to different companies within the FNT, so your data can be transferred within the worldwide FNT.
Your profile data details will only be disclosed to third parties (e.g. agencies) outside FNT when this is part of our local recruiting process. These agencies were selected carefully and confidentiality is assured through local contracts. Your data will only be supplied to government institutions where required by law. FNT uses security measures in order to protect the data we have under our control against manipulation, loss, destruction, access by unauthorized persons or against unauthorized disclosure. Our security procedures are continually enhanced as new technology becomes available. The data transfer between your local browser and our eRecruiting system is encrypted via https.
11.1. Application for a specific position
When applying within FNT, you provide your personal data to the responsible legal entity of the FNT. Please be aware that all documents and all profile changes will be considered in all current applications. You have the possibility to apply for a specific position or with an unsolicited application. Either way HR associates may contact you and ask whether you agree to move your application to another fitting position within FNT. In case you applied for a specific job this will only happen with your approval. (Please find the details concerning unsolicited applications under paragraph 2). You as an applicant are responsible for ensuring that the provided data is correct and true. You can send in new documents via the provided email address at any time. You can withdraw your application at any time if you are no longer interested in the open position. If you withdraw your application, you will no longer be considered active for that position. Your data will be deleted in accordance with the applicable laws once the application process ends. All information concerning your applications will be retained for 12 months after the event of a rejection or withdrawal.
11.2. Usage of unsolicited applications
If you apply unsolicited in our eRecruiting system, you open the Candidate profile for all Recruiters of FNT worldwide. With releasing your profile, you agree to associates of FNT contacting you for HR staffing purposes. The provided data and documents will then be used worldwide within FNT for searching for suitable candidates. Apart from you, authorized associates from Human Resource department have access to your data. If there is an open position within FNT and it matches your profile, they may forward your data to the responsible Managers or associates. It is our goal to provide you with the best opportunities within FNT. Therefore we encourage you to regularly send in new documents to your unsolicited application to keep it updated. In providing your contact data, you agree that FNT may contact you for Recruiting purposes. If, at a specific time, you no longer wish to be contacted, you can delete your unsolicited application so that you will not be found in our applicant pool. Therefore please contact the responsible recruiter via email. In the event of a rejection or a withdrawal of your unsolicited application, your application is deleted after 12 month. Your profile is no longer searchable for potential job assignments.
In case of unsolicited application and if you are not rejected or do not withdraw or delete your unsolicited application, your data will be stored until further action of your side. No automatic deletion will take place.
When hired, your provided data will be transferred from the eRecruiting system to the country specific HR Administration system. Data will be stored and processed in the HR Administration system.
