FNT Software Announces Enhanced Version of its Flagship Data Center Infrastructure Management Platform
New FNT Command Version 14.4 and GeoMaps Version 4.6 Provide Tools to Automate, Manage, and Document IT Assets and Services, Including Cabling, Power Management, and Telecom Network Infrastructure
New York, New York (May 9, 2025) – FNT Software, a leading provider of software solutions for the integrated management of IT, data center, and telecommunication infrastructures worldwide, today announced the release of FNT Command 14.4 and FNT GeoMaps 4.6. The suite of powerful new features and enhancements are designed to significantly increase user efficiency, adaptability, and operational visibility across digital infrastructure environments.
The latest release of FNT Command introduces dynamic templates, which replace static configurations and allow users to customize templates based on their specific operational needs. This is coupled with enhanced import/export capabilities, enabling seamless configuration sharing across environments for faster testing and deployment.
Cable management has been upgraded to include support for single-side and non-connected cables—ideal for phased infrastructure planning and outside plant documentation. Patch cables can now be tracked, reused, and managed within warehouse inventories, allowing for more efficient resource planning and reduced material waste. Cable change history is also now fully historized, providing a clear audit trail for all infrastructure modifications.
Next, power management has been enhanced through the addition of realistic schematics. FNT Command now supports vertical breaker alignment and improved terminology, ensuring better alignment with international standards and boosting usability in global deployments.
For telecommunications networks, FNT Command now provides the ability to bulk import service type hierarchies via Excel, streamlining the setup of complex service structures. Logical port subdivisions and new tray management rules further enhance control and data consistency, especially in large-scale environments.
The ReconEngine has also been expanded to support outside plant scenarios such as ducts inside multiducts and connections to multiple devices. It also introduces job-level logging for traceability, configurable matching IDs for improved reconciliation, and synchronization of logical port subdivisions.
To support faster and more agile operations, the Business Gateway (BGW) can now be reinitialized without requiring a full application restart. Other API-related enhancements include the ability to update cable types in bulk, reconnect uncut fibers, and perform more complex queries using extended search operators.
“With FNT Command 14.4, we’ve taken significant strides to enhance user control, improve planning accuracy, and streamline critical infrastructure processes,” said Carsten Wreth, CEO at FNT Software. “These innovations are not just about new features—they’re about enabling our customers to operate more flexibly, respond faster, and scale with confidence in an increasingly complex digital landscape.”
Complementing FNT Command 14.4, the release of FNT GeoMaps 4.6 delivers critical enhancements to geospatial planning and visualization.
A key highlight is the new trench route-based cable length calculation. This feature enables users to estimate cable lengths using georeferenced data when actual measured lengths are unavailable—a frequent challenge in real-world infrastructure projects. By bridging documentation gaps, GeoMaps empowers teams to plan more accurately and solve operational tasks even when complete documentation is not yet in place.
The update also includes enhancements to tray management, with a new ruleset for splitting ducts and traysections. These improvements ensure better data consistency and simplify the routing and documentation of complex network paths.
On the backend, GeoMaps 4.6 introduces greater system stability and security through updated libraries. Additionally, it supports a wider range of coordinate systems in GIS databases, offering increased flexibility for global implementations.
