The Challenge Behind DataVita’s Growth
Founded in 2016, DataVita entered a highly competitive colocation and cloud services market and needed to differentiate itself from established providers. At the same time, the company had to manage a sophisticated data center environment with 4,000 square meters of colocation space, redundant power infrastructure, diverse fiber connectivity, and demanding uptime and latency requirements.
To operate this infrastructure efficiently and deliver reliable services to its customers, DataVita needed a modern DCIM platform that could provide transparency across assets and infrastructure while supporting the requirements of a multi-tenant data center environment.
The Solution for Secure and Scalable Data Center Management
After evaluating several vendors, DataVita selected FNT Command as its central DCIM platform. FNT provides visibility across IT and telecommunications infrastructure and enables DataVita to manage assets, cabling, data center infrastructure, and telecommunications resources within one system.
A key requirement was multitenancy. FNT’s mandator functionality allows DataVita to securely separate assets and data between customers, helping ensure that tenants only have access to the information that belongs to them. This supports client privacy and GDPR requirements while reducing the risk of exposing data to the wrong users.

FNT and DataVita’s partnership con tinues to grow as DataVita begins to manage cli ent cloud environ ments. FNT will support this new initiative with its integrated FNT In terface for vCenter, which allows seamless management of own equipment and Cloud services by bringing all assets into one place. This is required as colo clients move sys tems to Cloud environments, and usually have a hybrid environment of colo and Cloud based systems.
Interestingly, DataVita also uses FNT as a sales tool. Sales regularly use FNT to demonstrate to prospects how comprehensive DataVita’s asset management is. Some of FNT’s output elements, such as cabling dia grams and 3D footprints, are shared with prospects to help win them as new customers. As Logie says, “FNT is quite an impressive software package to demonstrate.”
