FNT Solutions Pte Ltd, a unit of FNT GmbH (www.fntsoftware.com), a large German independent software company has opened its regional headquarters in Singapore and it will serve as a springboard for its Asia Pacific expansion. The Singapore office will embark on a two-pronged strategy - To support global clients operating in the region and to work through appointed partners to identify and service new customers in the region. It will execute this strategy with its partners in the republic, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Upon reaching critical mass, in-country offices will possibly be rolled out in these Southeast Asian markets. As part of its longer term strategy, there are plans to support customers in other Asian markets like Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka and China.
Nikolaus Albrecht, Managing Director of FNT-GmbH, said the expansion into Asia is the next phase of the group’s growth strategy. “FNT has made significant strides as a company mainly because it offers enterprise technology solutions that enable businesses to operate in an increasingly dynamic world."
“To date, many corporations in Europe and the US have been able to access and benefit from our innovative solutions. As we take our first steps into Asia, we believe Asian corporations will start to appreciate and understand how our infrastructure and telecommunication management solutions will help them to align their business with IT. This will turn IT service providers, communication service providers and data centers into business partners.”
Fred Schellert , Vice President and Head of FNT Solutions said: “FNT Solutions has been seeding the Southeast Asian market in the past few months. We have received positive feedback from our global customers who would like to get real-time technical support from within the Asia Pacific region."
“For Asian enterprises, there has been a tremendous reception because they are now able to understand how FNT’s innovative solutions will benefit them. There is positive traction for FNT in the Asian marketplace,” he said.
Klaus G Borig, President of the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC), said: “As our main objective is to promote business relations between Germany and Singapore, the arrival of FNT is a timely endorsement of what we strive to do. As Asia’s potential continues to shine, the SGC will continue to facilitate the entry of innovative companies into the region."
Headquartered in Ellwangen in southern Germany, FNT is not a newcomer to the enterprise segment of the information technology industry. Set up in 1994 by five founders who engineered the company’s stellar growth, its solutions are now a defacto standard in the telecommunications and IT-Infrastructure segments as well as for data center infrastructure management in all major markets in Europe.
FNT recently clinched its single largest contract with a telecommunications provider in Russia.
In 2011, FNT made its foray into the US by setting up its operations in New Jersey.
Currently, FNT is the only provider that offers solutions that cover the entire IT value chain, including network and IT infrastructure, data center management, and application and business service management. Like our customers, we take an integrative approach from cabling through to service provision.
It used to be the case that cable management, mainframe computer systems, IT infrastructure, and especially telephone systems were viewed as separate entities.
Today, however, it is no longer possible to handle these technologies independently of one another. Telephone systems often use the same cable infrastructure as IT systems. Mainframe computer systems have been replaced by flexible server infrastructures that are mostly fertilized and need to be managed in an energy-efficient manner in large data centers. IT applications, telephone services, logical networks, data storage, cloud services, software as a service, and many other services are now delivered via the existing network and IT infrastructure. FNT has developed the FNT layer model, which is mapped in the FNT software products as an integrated, comprehensive data model in a central database, making your IT service management processes and automation processes more efficient.
FNT Solutions will reach out to Asian prospects through its recently appointed network of partners.
In Singapore, technical support work is already underway for some of the larger global customers. FNT Solutions is supported by Resonant Networks Pte Ltd and FibreOpto Asia Pte Ltd.
In Malaysia, the company is represented by Olive Technology Sdn. Bhd.
Looking ahead, FNT Solutions is further looking to appoint two to three additional business partners in the region to gain access to key markets like Thailand and Australia.
